White-tailed deer populations within the United States have undergone tremendous change within the past two centuries. Unregulated market hunting and extensive habitat modification resulted in the near extirpation of the species by the early 1900’s. However, white-tailed deer numbers have dramatically increased during the past few decades. Natural habitat succession, deer restoration programs, intensive management efforts, predator control programs, public education campaigns, and the deer’s natural adaptive abilities have all contributed to historic high deer densities across the United States.

In many areas of the Mid-Atlantic Region, deer population densities have exceeded the land’s ability to sustain them. In other areas, deer densities have exceeded society’s ability to tolerate them in both Rural and Urban areas. These unnaturally high deer densities can present significant ecological, social, and economic problems for a variety of stakeholders.

Our hunter services provide a means to control the ever-growing deer herd population. We work with you to find a common goal that is both beneficial to the client and the habitat. We are not a big buck hunting club and do not operate as a hunting club. We focus on the importance of herd reduction and balancing and this comes with over 95% doe harvests annually. Once you contract with MAWS you are informed every step of the way in regards to hours spent hunting, observations, recommendations, and our harvest logs.

Our hunters have decades of experience in the most urban, human-populated areas as well as the largest of rural farmed areas. Our focus and mission remain the same.

If discreetness is a concern, fear not, as our members adhere to our “Blend in Policy” where we often use in areas such as HOAs and other suburban communities. Several of our hunters are elite archers and hunt only archery year-round. Aside from general hunting season, we can assist with obtaining special permits for areas that require additional attention or more time to obtain the overall goal of that property.

Safety is our number one concern and we are 100% insured, with zero hunting violations which provides a platform for us to be very meticulous with who is accepted into the membership. Our hunter services is not a big buck hunting club, we provide a service that focuses on deer herd reduction.
